Service and Warranty Technician

Responsible for coordinating and conducting pre-delivery inspections with the contractor and delivery walkthroughs with purchasers of residential and industrial strata lots in compliance with the Beedie Service and Warranty Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsive to purchaser/homeowner calls, inquiries and service requests throughout the different phases of their building construction, both residential and industrial
  • Conduct pre-walks of strata lots with Construction to identify deficiencies and coordinate resolution of same in preparation for owner walkthroughs
  • Meet with owners to  orient them to the strata lot, identify any outstanding deficiencies and coordinate resolution of same
  • Complete service requests, primarily at year-end as part of the first-year warranty
  • Review of exteriors and common areas with strata councils and the Asset Management team to identify any deficiencies
  • Perform maintenance and upkeep of existing buildings/strata lots that are placed in our inventory
  •  Conducting inspections of finishes and coordinating service repair work ensuring customer satisfaction 
  • Coordinate and complete repairs/deficiencies of strata developments both residential and industrial
  • Complete repair of deficiencies as directed by the Manager, Service & Warranty
  • Prepare appropriate service request paperwork and submit in a timely manner
  • Ensure service requests are entered into CRM to maintain accurate records and data
  • Display accountability, an ability to follow through to completion
  • Suggest and make recommendations for process improvements
  • Liaise with purchasers to provide a top quality experience
  • Represent the Company in a professional, courteous manner

 Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant customer service experience
  • A technical Diploma or relevant Degree
  • Knowledge of the construction industry with a focus on mechanicals and interior finishing/details
  • Ability to complete minor repairs and deficiencies
  • Proven ability to provide consistent and exceptional customer service
  • A good listener with strong written and oral communication skills necessary to represent the company in a positive, professional manner
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
  • Able to work equally well either within a team or independently with minimal supervision
