Field Coordinator

This position will work closely with our project teams (Industrial Project Management, Construction, and Pre-Construction) to visit and monitor all site construction activities including, labour hours, volume quantities of concrete, gravel and formwork materials. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise between the project teams (Industrial Project Management, Pre-construction and Construction) to update productivity rates to determine work unit rates for various scope of work items
  • Responsible to maintain an analysis of productivity rates versus actual production on our all industrial construction projects.
  • Visit all industrial construction sites and review the site actual values against those of the baseline estimate and calculate the percentage of work completed
  • Maintain daily communication with Site Superintendents and record daily construction activity of self-performed work
  • Track all Beedie Labor Hours and compare the report to the budget hours
  • Track all volume quantities including but not limited to concrete, gravel and formwork materials
  • Analyze selective Quality Assurance process for specific work items
  • Analyze Timberline accounting program to cost coding to each specific cost code
  • Review bid analysis spreadsheets and recommendations for productivity analysis
  • Provide monthly project status reports to assist with cost forecasting and quality updates
  • Attend forecasting meetings and provide input on self-performed work 

Desired Skills and Experience: 

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the construction field
  • A technical Diploma in Construction, Carpentry or related field
  • Understanding of MasterFormat and Construction Codes
  • Surveying knowledge and ability to read and analyze a grading plan
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in computer programs such as ACAD, Timberline, and MS Office
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong skills in analytic and research skills
  • The ability to travel throughout the lower mainland with access to your own vehicle
