Responsible for all matters related to the administration of leasing of the Company’s real estate assets including marketing, liaising with tenants and management of legal documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft offers to lease, leases, renewals and other related documents in conjunction with the Director of Leasing and Legal team to ensure all documentation is completed accurately in a timely manner
  • Work closely with Property management, Development, Construction, Legal and Accounting teams on a daily basis to ensure effective communication and coordination of lease deliverables between departments
  • Liaise with the Property Management team to assure any improvement works are scheduled for timely completion
  • Monitor, communicate and follow up with critical dates on active deals
  • Build and maintain relationships with all of Beedie’s new and existing tenants
  • Close interaction with the real estate brokerage community to provide the leasing team and other departments with continuous  market information and active lease/sale requirements in the marketplace
  • Assist in the creation of proposals for leasing mandates as required for existing properties and new developments
  • Ensure all documentation and backup correspondence is captured and establish complete files

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or completion of the Rental Property Management Licensing Course
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in lease administration within the commercial property industry
  • Experience with lease documentation and very good understanding of the language used
  • Very articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and able to multitask and complete tasks efficiently in a time sensitive environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create and maintain good relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Proven ability to exhibit professionalism and confidentiality within the workplace
  • Driven and motivated with the ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced team environment
  • Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
